Mikal Cronin releases “ii) Gold” from upcoming ‘MCIII’

Californian singer-songwriter Mikal Cronin has shared another song off his upcoming third record, MCIII. The song, “ii) Gold,” is part of a six-part song cycle that makes up side B (whatever THAT means) of the record. The guitar-heavy track also features Cronin playing the tzouras, a traditional 6-stringed Greek instrument.

MCIII is out May 5 via Merge, and is available for pre-order. If you order via iTunes, you’ll get an immediate download of “ii) Gold” (though if you order a digital copy, you’re just ruining the whole “Side B” thing).

Cronin kicks off his upcoming tour on April 22 in San Francisco, at the Independent. Full tour dates, and stream of “ii) Gold” below…
