Good news for people who like Modest Mouse news: Modest Mouse finally released their long-gestating, briefly-delayed sixth record Strangers To Ourselves yesterday, and marked the occasion with an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The now-nine-piece live band tore through “Lampshades On Fire,” one of the more Modest-Mouse-y sounding tracks on what turned out to be a pretty Modest-Mouse-y record.
Modest Mouse hit the road with a few East Coast club dates before hitting the festival circuit, which includes the LIVE 105 BFD 2015 festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View
Saturday on June 6. And although Strangers To Ourselves has only been out for one day, Isaac Brock is already saying that he wants to put out another record “as soon as legally possible.”
