Rapper/hip-hop/R&B/funk singer Anderson .Paak played a quickly sold-out show at the Fillmore in San Francisco, as the buzz continues to build behind his second record, Malibu. Prior to doors opening, the line was over a block long to get into the Fillmore, and it’s unlikely .Paak will be playing such an intimate venue his next time through the Bay Area. Overheard, supposedly, in the line outside was one ticketless fan offering to trade a ticket for the show for a ticket to the Kanye West show in San Jose in November (though that fan did get to see West’s now-famous meltdown at one of his last shows before checking himself into a mental health program). Still. those lucky enough to get inside weren’t disappointed, as Paak rapped, sang, danced, and drummed his way through a fantastic set that showcased his many skill, and it’s now wonder he’s up for a couple Grammy’s in 2017.
