After finishing the touring cycle behind their second record Celebration Rock in 2013, Canadian rock duo Japandroids went radio-silent until last fall, when they played a handful of shows after announcing the release of their third record, Near to the Wild Heart of Life in January 2017. Since the release of that excellent record, they’ve been on tour almost non-stop, and played explosive two sold-out nights at the Fillmore in San Francisco in the ides of March. Australian singer/songwriter/flautist Matt Corby, touring in support of his debut record Telluric, played the Fillmore in San Francisco. Besides being his first full-length record, Telluric is also the first music Corby has released in a couple years, and the extremely enthusiastic crowd were clearly glad that he’s back.
